James L. Raders, M.D.
Born
in Iowa City, Iowa, Dr. Raders earned a Bachelor of Science degree with
honors and distinction from the University of Iowa and received his medical
degree from that institution in 1981. He completed his internship and
residency at the University of Florida at Gainesville.
Dr. Raders has been board certified in obstetrics and gynecology since
1986. He has actively pursued teaching as a clinical faculty member of
the University of Minnesota since 1985. While in private practice, he
pursued a subspecialty interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic
floor disorders and developed and served as the director of a urogynecologic
evaluation and treatment facility. His focus on female pelvic medicine
continued to grow, and he chose to pursue fellowship training in 2003
in order to concentrate all of his efforts in this field.
After completing a surgical fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive
Surgery at the Institute for Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive
Surgery in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and a research fellowship at the Cleveland
Clinic, Florida, Dr. Raders returned to the Twin Cities and started Female
Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in August of 2004.
Dedicated to the advancement in care for women, Dr. Raders continues
to pursue research and development projects in female pelvic medicine
and remains active in both professional and public educational activities. |
