Scope of Practice

The practice will evaluate and treat female disorders of pelvic floor function, including:

• Stress Urinary Incontinence
• Overactive Bladder and Urge Incontinence
• Pelvic Support Problems (cystocele, rectocele, uterine and vagina vault prolapse) and their consequences

In addition, we will address and manage various conditions affecting the lower urinary tract, including:

• Voiding dysfunction and retention of urine
• Issues of pelvic support in the geriatric population
• Sexual dysfunction related to pelvic support
• Bladder hypersensitivity disorders (urgency, frequency, interstitial cystitis)
• Recurrent bladder infections
• Urinary protective methods
• Issues of hygiene and skin care
• The need for prolonged bladder drainage
• Urinary and gastrointestinal tract fistulae
• The effects of various other conditions on the pelvic floor and urinary tract (neurologic disorders, pregnancy, complications of gynecologic and colorectal cancers and
  their treatment)
